Handcuffed By Her Hero (WILD Boys of Special Forces)

I loved Handcuffed By Her Hero! With all of the other BDSM books out there, Angel Payne's WILD Boys books stand out as the best! It's not all about the kinkiness of the lifestyle, but the reasons why people need it. And yes, it is smokin HOT!

Zeke Hayes is a Special Forces Sergeant who saved our heroine's life...twice.  As expected, he had a rough time growing up.  And as much as I wish he didn’t, it’s what made him the man he is.  A hero.  A hero with a need that many find dirty or illicit.  It is neither.  That’s what I’ve come to learn from Angel Payne’s WILD Boys books, especially Handcuffed By Her Hero.  On a personal level, I could see a bit of my own personality that fits with Zeke’s.  A lot of what he does and why, even on a day to day basis (not talking about the military missions, but the emotional stuff), is similar to what I would do.  First time that I can remember having more in common with the hero than the heroine.  That is amazing.

I enjoyed Rayna Chestain’s growth from where she was in the previous book in this series.  She was a victim then she fought that back.  I felt myself feeling like she was a little sister.  I needed to see her fight her inner demons and embrace what she was meant to be.  When it came to her response to Zeke, I had the “big sister” vibe going.  I found myself trying to talk to her.  (LOL)  At first, I thought that Rayna's affection for Zeke was solely hero worship. It was refreshing to find out otherwise.

Admittedly, there were several moments where I wanted to shake them both, even knock Zeke upside his head. There were also a few "holy crap, I knew it!" moments. And as usual, there was a scene (or two) that had me in tears. I could go on, but I don't want to spoil it for those who haven't read it.

Angel, you ROCK!!  I can’t wait to read the rest of the series!!
