Title: Intertwined

Standalone Series: A Redemption Novel

Author: Sasha Brümmer

Genre: Contemporary Romance

Release Date: January 30, 2017

Amplified emotional highs have been my downfall. I’ve lost parts of myself to the dark corners of my heart because of the damage others have inflicted.

Whiskey might be able to ease the burn of one’s soul, but this time it might not be enough to survive. Instead of letting me wither in the cracks of my desiccated soul, he pushes me to appreciate the scars, instead of avoiding the bruises.

I’ve had more than my share of sanctioned hell, and I am through living in a limbo between who I should be and who I am. I won’t allow myself to become a casualty of my own mind again.

I am no longer carrying the obscurities of my life around with me when he chooses to stand and fight beside me.

With him, I finally see what it means to be living.

**This novel contains mature themes, strong language, violent circumstances, and sexual situations. It is intended for adult readers.

My Review

Mesmerizing.  Entrancing.  Enthralling.  These are just three of the many words I would use to describe Sasha Brümmer’s Intertwined.  She had me locked in her world and I never wanted to leave.  Oh, all the feels!

This is a friends-to-lovers story and I must say that it’s the best I have ever read.  Normally, I don’t care for those types of storylines.  Intertwined had me from the first paragraph.  Sasha, I raise my tumbler to you!

Isla Madden manages Blended, a beautiful whiskey library (sign me up!).  I already loved Isla.  Her brashness and protectiveness are my favorite parts of her and I loved her so much more in this book!  She is a strong and independent woman.  What made me love her more was her vulnerability.  It’s beautiful when a strong woman allows herself to be vulnerable.  I thoroughly enjoyed her lack of filter when she talks or reacts to things.  She and I would have a blast!

Liam Jensen is one of her best friends and the man behind an amazing company.  I must say that I really didn’t care for Liam in Sasha’s previous book, Blended.  He actually annoyed me.  However, in Intertwined, I fell in love with him!  A Redemption novel, indeed!  Maybe it was my need to help someone who needs it, but Liam showed me his strength and courage in the face of desperation and pain.  His mission in life was what tipped me over from liking him into loving him.  Normally cockiness brings up “the eyebrow” and makes me want to fight back, but Liam made me think that fighting would be fun. <wink>

They both have hard and dark corners in their minds and hearts.  I believe that those corners are what brought them together and made them stronger.  The connection between Isla and Liam is one that survives and strengthens with each passing moment, whether that moment is full of laughter and joy or heartbreak.  I needed to see them happy.  I needed to see them full of joy.

Honestly, I am not a sap except when it comes to the work of certain authors.  Sasha Brümmer has joined that really short list.  Intertwined had me commiserating, chuckling, outright laughing, sighing, crying (ugly tears, thanks Sasha!), bootyshaking, cringing, and dripping with tears of joy.  Intertwined put me through the emotional wringer and I’m a masochist who loves it.  I do reread a lot but only certain books by certain authors.  This is definitely one of them.  It is passionately HOT, totally addictive, and incredibly intense.  I didn’t want to put it down and hated the fact that I had to work because I couldn’t continue reading!  My favorite scene can be teased with one word: FaceTime.  You need to read it to see why!

Thank you, Sasha Brümmer for this amazing novel.  I can’t wait for more from you!
